The Findus Group is a major European food business with operations across Europe and a growing export division. It has more than 6,000 employees across 21 facilities in 5 countries and in 2007 generated over £1 BN turnover. The Group combines the Findus brand with that of Britain’s two biggest seafood businesses: leading UK fish brand, Young’s, and chilled own label manufacturer, The Seafood Company.
Formerly known as Foodvest, the Group was acquired by private equity firm Lion Capital in July 2008 and changed its name to The Findus Group in May 2009.
The Findus Export Division offers products from across the Findus Group’s operating companies and brands and can supply markets anywhere in the world. It was founded in 2007 and has a current turnover approaching € 50 M.
The Division is already present in many global markets both in Europe, Asia and the Americas. Through the Export Division, Findus products are already well represented in countries as diverse as Cyprus, Malta, Iceland, Poland, Lebanon, Spain, USA, Canada, Australia, Hong Kong, and New Zealand.
