- 1905Skånska Fruktin & Likörfabriken founded in Bjuv
- 1941Confectionery company Freja Marabou buys Skånska Fruktin & Likörfabriken, renaming it Findus Canning Factory shortly afterwards
- 1945Findus launches the first frozen food products into Swedish stores
- 1947With the introduction of frozen foods, the business is renamed Findus Co
- 1952Acquisition of Hammerfest factory in Norway
- 1958Findus frozen products now sold in a number of export markets, including the UK. In Bjuv, the world’s largest belt freezer for peas is installed
- 1962Findus Co purchased by Swiss food giant, Nestle
- 1971The ‘Findus flag’ becomes the new Findus trademark
- 1987Findus Lean Cuisine is launched, introducing frozen single portion dishes to Swedish supermarkets
- 2000EQT Partners acquires Findus from Nestle. Acquisition of Frionor in Norway
- 2004Divestment of Findus UK, Spain, Germany and Australia and focus in core markets in Scandinavia, France and CEE
- 2006CapVest acquires Findus AB from EQT, Foodvest created as holding company of Findus and Young's Seafood
- 2008As part of Foodvest, Findus is purchased by private equity firm, Lion Capital
- 2009In the UK, the Findus brand returns to the control of Foodvest after several years being manufactured under license by a separate company. Findus parent group, Foodvest, is renamed Findus Group
